Recording Date: May 2, 2023

Transcript: Download transcript HERE.

Episode Summary: Welcome to a new podcast, Lived Expertise is Greater Than Degrees, offered by Networks for Training and Development, Inc. in collaboration with me, Kayla Concannon, CRASH Consulting. While the "target audience" for this podcast is therapists, researchers, teachers, and other professionals working with and supporting people with disabilities, I am confident that everyone can find important take-aways from these conversations. Disability can be part of someone's life regardless of their race, ethnicity, religion, size, gender, sexuality, age, socioeconomic status and every other type of factor or demographic information we can measure. In this series, we seek to introduce you to the true experts in the field of disabilities - the people who experience these disabilities in their everyday lives. In this episode I offer an overview of what to expect in Lived Expertise > Degrees, and answer some questions myself. These are the same questions I pose to my guests, so in all fairness, I should answer as well. We hope you enjoy, and take the time to subscribe to the podcast.
